- Part 3 of Phyllis's story "Tante Joht," taken from Stories from an Old Town. This story is taken from the time when Grandma Jungas was working hard on the old hotel so the family would have a place to live and earn some money while Grandpa reestablished his hardware business. Great story about a strong woman.
- Kodai and Family Songs, which can be found under Family Memories. This is an ongoing project so if you think of songs we've sung as a family, please send them to me and I'll add them to the others.
- Two new sections for Sibling Memories: Thoughts about Paul; Life with Betty. So far we have Phyl, Grace, Paul, Betty and Gwen. Now I want great and wonderful things written about me!
- Also included two drawings by Gentry, found in Kids' art section.

- Gwen's Quick Lunch recipe; sounds so easy that it makes me consider getting a George Forman grill so I can try this.
- Harlan's Grilled Pork Ribs in Orange Sauce - a great recipe for summertime living
- Tortilla-Tomato Casserole, a recipe from Carl. Interesting, isn't it, that Carl's recipes are always more complicated and sophisticated in flavors than most of ours are...? And if you've ever eaten Carl's dishes, you very much appreciate the results. Shows you can become a great cook after retirement.

- John Schweers has written two really interesting stories that you'll want to read: Fat Food Paper and Antithesis Dream. To find these, scroll down to "Stories by Jo Sorensen;" right below this you'll find "Stories by John Schweers." Thanks for sharing these, John.
- A light-hearted lymerick by Mary Sexton. This is found under "Poems." Reminds me of all those lymericks we used to recite in Kodai, including "There was an old man from Perth."
- Noah and his Grandma made a Super Duper Cake; the recipe and photo is posted under the Kids' section, Stories. Wonderful recipe available for all you younger kids.
- Paul sent two of Fran's poems: "Trees" and "Sunset." Barb, I can see where you and Bria got your love of poetry.
- Two poems by John Nicholas Christian Hiebert: "The View," and "Teacher." Paul found these somewhere in Dad's writings. I didn't know he had ever written poetry. Amazing what you find out about your parents years later.
- Valuable Tips for the Non-Seamstress, by Jo Sorensen; these tips are VERY useful for any of you that find sewing should be put off until you have a day when there is absolutely nothing else to do....
- Added several new recipes:

- Two special features: pictures of Barb's wedding (in newsletter) and a new section: Reviews of Books, Movies and Music. This is a section that we siblings thought would be good to have on our web page, so Gwen offered to be in charge of it. She says you busy Hiebert folks can save precious time by checking out the reviews and finding what's good to read/see/listen to. And be sure to send her YOUR favorites.

- New Photo of the Month - Jack sent me an old brochure from the time our family left for India in 1938. I'd seen the family picture before, but never the brochure. Really neat.

- Tante Joht, Part I - another story from Phyl's Stories From an Old Town. Phyl, these are such great stories. Thanks for writing them and sharing them.
- Two poems by Barbara Rowe (new name in our group!): Thy Kingdom Come, and John 1.
- Five haigas (you'll have to look at them to see what a haiga is) by Steve Sorensen. Steve and Barb, it's good to have some poets in our family.

- Heinrich, Part 2 - a continuation of Phyl's Stories From an Old Town. These are great stories that are based on life in Mt. Lake. This particular story is based a lot on the life of Uncle Jake, Grandma Jungas's brother.
- There are several new additions to the Kid's section--one story, two pieces of art and some children's websites Betty sent in:
- The final part of Madison Dahl's story "The Mystery of the Missing Movie-Star"

- This month we're featuring Betty's story Lizzie, which is about her growing-up years. This is a really great story and tells so much about our lives as missionary kids in India. Take the time to print a copy of it so you can read and enjoy it at your leisure. Betty, thank you so much for this story. It adds a lot to our family history.
- Mitveezel and the Watermelon, a story Betty told to Gwen and me years ago in Reedley; retold by Jo
- Mortgage on the Cow, a Hiebert sibling skit
- We have two neat additions from our younger generation: Mary Sexton and Gentry Sorensen. Next month we'll add a story by Madison Dahl. Thanks, you three. We'd like to encourage the rest of you kids to send in your stories, artwork and photos.
