Cranberry Salad
This is the Cranberry Salad recipe that Mom used to always make. I think
it was originally Grandma Jungas' recipe---right? Betty sent it in so we
can keep this traditional dish going at Thanksgiving. Betty says, "This is
a very pretty salad and ever so good."
Ingredients:
- 2 pkg cranberries
- sugar
- crushed graham crackers (about 1 pkg. of graham crackers inside regular box)
- 2 pints whipped cream
Instructions:
- Cook 2 pkg cranberries according to the directions on the package.
(Usually this is 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water per package). Cool.
- Crush graham crackers
- Whip 2 pints of whipping cream; add sugar to sweeten to taste.
- Layer the cranberries, crushed graham crackers and whipped cream (
sweetened), and then add another layer of these three things. Sprinkle
graham crackers on top.
- Chill.
