Betty's Baked Apples with Brandy
Betty made these when some of us were visiting; they are SO delicious! - Jo
Ingredients:
- Fuji or Jonathan apples
- white sugar
- 2 tsp. brown sugar per apple
- brandy
- whipping cream
Instructions:
- Scoop out the center part of the apple, making a hole about 1 inch wide
- Place apples in a baking dish
- Sprinkle a little white sugar into the apple holes
- Put in about 2 tsp. of brown sugar per apple
- Pour a little brandy into the hole
- Bake in the oven at about 325' until the apples are as soft as you like them
- Place in dishes and pour the carmelized juice from the bottom of the
baking dish over the apples
- Top with whipping cream; Delicious!
