Our Great-(Great)-Grandfather Peter Pankratz

The impish-looking man sitting at the right of the front row is Anna Hiebert's grandfather Peter Pankratz (Grandma Jungas's father). Anna used to tell the story that he didn't want to come inside for this picture, and finally came in but wouldn't put down his walking stick. Sounds like that's where some of the strong-mindedness that we see in the following generations comes from!
